Anka Martin

For 5 months of the year, I migrate from my home in New Zealand to take up residence in a trusty rusty old van to travel across Europe, Canada and the USA, leading the life of a professional mountain biker and enduro racer.

My husband Sven is a professional photographer, so we travel to various bike races, festivals, events and many beautiful places in the mountains for magazine photo shoots and features.

In between races, I take people on guided mountain bike trips. From the spectacular big mountains of Provence, France, to the magical green paradise of New Zealand, I always try to show people the trails less travelled.

I love nothing more than to teach and encourage more women to get out there on their bikes. And when I’m not on my bike, I lead fun Vinyasa style flow yoga classes wherever & whenever I can!
